چکیده
Abstract Background Emerging evidence suggests that epithelial cell-derived microRNAs (miRNA) are involved in the pathogenesis of inflammatory bowel disease; however, as now specific implications real clinical practice, especially relation to biologics use yet far-fetched. Therefore, we tried investigate cell derived miRNA signatures related and endoscopic activity Crohn’s disease (CD) patients. Methods We prospectively collected terminal ileum tissue samples via ileocolonoscopy from healthy control (n=12), CD patients remission (n=32) active (n=36). was defined Crohn's index (CDAI) <150 achievement mucosal healing. Both inflamed non-inflamed lesions were sampled Clinical information, medication use, chemistry data measured within a week sample date. levels by small-RNA sequencing qRT-PCR. Diagnostic ability found evaluated receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis. Results The study cohort followed up until January 2022. Mean follow-up period prospective 13.06 months. In comparing control, state revealed profiles sequencing. Through RT-PCR validation, expression miR-141-3p, miR-338-3p, miR-378a-3p, miR-200b-3p significantly decreased, while miR-125b-5p, miR-29b-3p miR-155-5p increased Moreover, case patients, expressions miR-150-5p, down-regulated those using biologics, compared with naïve This may suggest these miRNAs not only biomarkers but also inflammation response. ROC analysis suggested different diagnostic both status. MiR-338-3p, miR-141-3p miR-378a-3p demonstrated area under greater than 0.9 predicting Conclusion report identifying its suggesting potential treatment target pathogenesis. These could be positioning which intend explore near future.

Tuberculosis-related miRNAs have potential as disease biomarkers
Background: More effective biomarkers for use in tuberculosis prevention, diagnosis, and treatment are urgently needed. The potential of miRNAs for use as biomarkers of human disease has received much attention; however, suitable miRNA biomarkers for use in tuberculosis (TB) diagnosis and treatment have not yet been identified. Methods: We used human miRNA arrays to identify miRNAs in Periphera...
متن کاملIdentification of circulating microRNA signatures as potential noninvasive biomarkers for prediction and prognosis of lymph node metastasis in gastric cancer
Circulating microRNAs (miRNAs) are emerging as novel noninvasive biomarkers for prediction of lymph node metastasis (LNM) in cancer. The aim of this study was to identify serum miRNA signatures for prediction and prognosis of LNM in gastric cancer (GC). MiSeq sequencing was performed for an initial screening of serum miRNAs in 10 GC patients with LNM, 10 patients without LNM and 10 healthy cont...

متن کاملA Serum MicroRNA Panel as Potential Biomarkers for Hepatocellular Carcinoma Related with Hepatitis B Virus
BACKGROUND The identification of new high-sensitivity and high-specificity markers for HCC are essential. We aimed to identify serum microRNAs (miRNAs) as biomarkers to be used in diagnosing hepatitis B virus (HBV) -related hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). METHODS We investigated serum miRNA expression in (261 HCC patients, 233 cirrhosis patients, and 173 healthy controls), recruited between A...
متن کاملMicroRNA Expression Aberration as Potential Peripheral Blood Biomarkers for Schizophrenia
Since brain tissue is not readily accessible, a new focus in search of biomarkers for schizophrenia is blood-based expression profiling of non-protein coding genes such as microRNAs (miRNAs), which regulate gene expression by inhibiting the translation of messenger RNAs. This study aimed to identify potential miRNA signature for schizophrenia by comparing genome-wide miRNA expression profiles i...
